Sir Marcellius Eleanya Nwonu Is a renowned entrepreneur, educationist and a philanthropist. He is the founder and chairman of Omega Group of Companies Ltd with major interest in agriculture,
food processing, energy and real estate. He is a chartered accountant and holds a doctorate degree in management. In addition, he holds masters’ degree in law, economics and agricultural sciences. He is also a member of many professional bodies, including the Institute of Chartered accountants, Nigerian Institute of Management, Nigeria Economic Society, African Technology Policy Studies
Network, UK. He has been honoured with many ecclesiastical and chieftaincy titles, including, the Knight of the Order of Wesley (KJW), the Idejimba of Oduma and Onowo of Obeagu Oduma Ancient
Kingdom. Sir M E Nwonu attended numerous colleges and institutions, in Nigeria and overseas, including, St. Finbarr’s College, Akoka, Federal School of Arts & Science, Victoria Island, University of Lagos, London South Bank University (UK), Birkbeck University, London (UK), City University, London (UK), Lancaster University, Lancaster (UK) and Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester (UK), where he received degrees and certificates, with distinction. He is a seasoned administrator and had worked in many organisations at top management levels in Nigeria, United Kingdom and Czech Republic. He currently serves in the board of many high flying companies, including Oduma Multi-purpose Farms Ltd, Prima and Company Ltd, Omega Properties Ltd, Maliz & Company Ltd, Nne Agro Allied Foods Ltd, Omegason Integrated Energy Services Ltd and Arthur Marcel Accountancy Ltd.
